This Taurus model 85 revolver was patterned after the iconic Smith & Wesson J frame. This is a classic model made I believe in the 1980s and is in excellent condition with target grips and deep blowing this gun is a beauty to look at and hold. It is a nice looking gun with a quality build, tight lockup, and a great feeling action. Can’t wait to take it out to the range and shoot it! If you know any information on the history of older Taurus revolver‘s, drop a note in the comments and let me know. I’m trying to find out exactly when this was made in a little bit on the history of the design of this gun. I know old Taurus revolver‘s were made on Smith and Wesson tooling, I believe this one might’ve come out shortly after they switched over to their own tooling. The main reason is the three-quarter under lug on this barrel. It is a beautiful gun!
