Ep 19 | Munda Biddi at 65 - Yirra Karrta Hut to Kwokralup Beela Hut

Episode 19 of Solo at 65 – The Munda Biddi Journey. After an unexpected rest day waiting out heavy rain at Yirra Kartta Hut, it was time to get moving again - straight back into the wilderness. The trail was wet and scattered with puddles as I rode across wide, swampy plains where the water had nowhere to drain. The landscape felt stark and remote, with low scrub stretching out across the flats. At Fernhook Falls I caught up with my trail friends Jen and Jim, who had spent the stormy night sheltering in the rustic hut nearby. From there the trail pushed deeper into one of the most isolated sections of the journey - beautiful in a quiet, desolate way. Cold rain squalls rolled through as the kilometres ticked by. After passing the turn-off to Mt Frankland, the trail returned to taller forest before finally arriving at Kwokralup Beela Hut, where I reunited with my friends for the night.
