Insomnia is not fun and I suffered from it from many years. I tried a lot of different herbs, supplements, and even medications to help with it. Medications may seem to work but your not really sleeping, they put your brain in a state that’s similar to being in a coma or anesthesia so your not getting good quality REM sleep. I definitely would not recommend any sleeping medication! I found that the combination of melatonin, magnesium, and zinc will put me out in 5-10 mins. I take them every day and sleep like a normal person now. It used to take me 1-3 hours to fall asleep. But with this combo I’m out in 5-10 mins. I also do a mental exercise where I relax my eye sockets, then progress throughout my body similar to yoga nidra on some days where I find it harder to drift off.
