Boston Ave. Commercial Garage Fire (Bridgeport, CT) 12/6/24 BRIDGEPORT, CT - At approximately 2:00pm on December 6, 2024, the Bridgeport Fire Department was dispatched to 375 Boston Avenue for a reported commercial garage on fire. A full assignment and All Hands Fire in a house was already underway at 126 James Street in the Hollow section of the city. First companies arriving on the Boston Avenue scene reported heavy fire showing from a 3-bay commercial garage. Explosions were reported possibly due to several propane takes involved in the fire. A defensive attack was immediately taken. Cause of the fire is under investigation and there were no reported injuries. Mutual aid responded to the city from Stratford and Fairfield Fire.
