Location: 179 Franklin Street System: Putnam County Testing schedule: Every Saturday at noon (fire), second Monday of every month at 10 AM (tornado) Testing time: 12:00:28 PM (on time) Cycle when tested: 1-3 minute attack (fire), 3 minute alert (tornado) Cameras used: Sony CyberShot DSC-HX400V (tight shot & audio), Canon PowerShot SX540HS (wide shot) Recording distance from siren: ~120 feet Loudness: Decently punchy - 115.3 dBA, 113.9 dBC from underneath Temperature: 58°F Other enthusiasts present: Connor (@Thunderbolt1000Tfan ) Other notes: After the B-series 'bolt, we headed to this 2 HP weatherproof Darley Champion for Putnam County's fire siren test. This thing was actually a bit louder than I was expecting. I was thinking it would be rather quiet based on what other enthusiasts who've been to this have said, but it actually had a decent punch to it. It still wasn't anything crazy however. It was probably similar in loudness to a Model 2, maybe slightly louder. My meter read 94.1 dBA from a little under 200 feet from it, 103 from where I was set up (around 120 feet away), and 115.3 from underneath. My wide shot was extremely overexposed; I tried to get the camera to lower the exposure before I started recording, but it would not budge unfortunately. I did my best to adjust it in post to something that's at least passable. I also ended up increasing the saturation and sharpening my main shot a bit, so hopefully you guys will like how it looks.
