Overnight Hike on Mount Myra - Vancouver Island, BC

August 2-3, 2024 // Last August, Jenna and I hiked up one of the many peaks in Strathcona Park on Vancouver Island. Mount Myra sits at 1,803m (5,915 ft) in elevation and the starting point of the hike is located 1 hour 15 minutes west of Campbell River. This hike was incredible! Since it’s a bit more remote than some of the other mountains in Strathcona, there was a minimal amount of hikers up on the trail. Jenna and I hiked up to Tennent Lake and made camp for the night before heading up to the summit the following morning. Filled with beautiful scenery in every direction, this truly was a fantastic experience! Luckily not as much mosquitoes as Triple Peak (look at my channel to check out that vlog!), however it still was very hot! With blue skies and a crystal clear mountain lake to cool off in, we couldn’t have asked for a better day!
