The 11th of November marks 49 days since the gentle soul of a dear Hridaya teacher, Alix Angelelli, departed from this world, leaving behind a fragrance of love, beauty, and purity that continues to fill our hearts. For those who knew her, Alix’s presence was a gift—a grace that embodied wisdom, tenderness, and devotion to the path of the Heart. Her transition was sudden, as her physical body succumbed to illness, but her soul now rests within the Light, carried beyond the veils of this world on wings of love. Together, we dedicated the past 49 days to a communal practice, reciting Aum Mani Padme Hum 108 times each day in her honor. As we conclude this sacred time, we feel Alix’s spirit settled in the embrace of the Infinite, returned to the Light that guided her so deeply in this life. Her presence remains with us as a gentle, divine imprint—a reminder of the radiant kindness, silent strength, and devotion that she embodied. In yogic tradition, 49 days hold a special significance. It offers a sacred container for profound inner transformation. Rooted in the ancient yogic understanding of cycles and consciousness, this seven-week commitment allows a deep restructuring of our patterns and a realignment of our highest intentions. According to yogic wisdom, 49 days is not arbitrary; it symbolizes seven cycles of seven days, each representing a layer of purification and insight. May we carry forward the love, joy, and Truth she shared with us. May her soul be free, resting in the vastness of the Divine from which she came. And may we honor her by remaining devoted to the Heart, just as she did in her quiet, humble way.
