An FHP trooper conducted a traffic stop on a black Cadillac SUV traveling eastbound on Interstate 4, east of Interstate 75, for illegal window tint and following too closely. Upon initiating the stop, trooper observed that the SUV was equipped with features resembling those of a law enforcement vehicle, including: Emergency light bars mounted in the rear and front windows A dash camera affixed to the windshield A computer stand with a laptop Dark window tint Other police-related accessories The vehicle's license plate was registered to a rental company. The driver, identified as 38-year-old Conroy Traille of Riverview, Fla., was unable to provide proof of insurance, vehicle registration, or a rental agreement. Traille exited the vehicle along with his 3-year-old daughter. During the stop, a K9 unit conducted a free-air sniff around the SUV, resulting in a positive alert. Subsequent search of the vehicle revealed: Two badges labeled "LAW ENFORCEMENT" and "FEDERAL OFFICER" on police-style lanyards A holstered SCCY 9mm handgun on the passenger seat A brown paper bag containing 21 pills identified as oxycodone and acetaminophen A plastic bag of white powder, several bags of white powder and white rock-like substances Marijuana residue and a plastic container with marijuana Two glass pipes with burnt marijuana, a digital scale, rolling papers, and lighters A police-style body camera in a pocket on the backside of the passenger seat. Traille's concealed weapons permit had expired. Traille was arrested and transported to the Hillsborough County Jail. He faces multiple charges, including: Falsely impersonating a law enforcement officer Trafficking in oxycodone Possession of cathinone Possession of marijuana Possession of drug paraphernalia Carrying a concealed firearm with an expired permit The child was released to the custody of Traille's girlfriend.
