Portland police remove protesters after disruption of City Council meeting

Portland city councilors had to move their meeting at City Hall from in-person to online Wednesday night after protesters again disrupted it. The disruption occurred during public testimony. Portland police officers had to remove protesters from the council chambers and move them outside. At the entrance to City Hall, protesters resisted being pushed out but eventually officers were able to get them out and secure the doors. The protesters were there to protest the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s use of the building in South Portland.
