After Isla Mujeres, we headed to Tulum. We were in Tulum from Sept 9-12. I gave up my desire to visit Tulum a year or so ago, after seeing how overcrowded and polluted it had gotten from being such a popular travel destination in the last couple of years. I was able to see the appeal, but the last thing I wanted to do was be amongst a buttload of tourists. But what better opportunity to go than now during COVID? We figured there wouldn't be as many tourists, and plus we've been ITCHING to travel to another country since the pandemic. And yes, now I can absolutely see why Tulum is so hyped. The sleepy vibes, the beachfront hotels that let you fall asleep to the sound of the waves, the boho chic stores, the breathtaking cenotes... the list can go on. Tulum is the epitome of a relaxing vacation. The only thing I will mention is that there are two parts of Tulum: Tulum beach and Tulum town. We stayed on the beach strip, which is significantly more expensive than staying in town. But, I really wanted to stay at NEST and it was so nice to be able to walk right onto the beach whenever I wanted. However, if I'm ever planning a quick or budget trip to Tulum again in the future, I will definitely stay in town. It is much cheaper in food and accommodations, and it's only a couple of miles away from the beach! REGARDING COVID: I mention the COVID situation during the last 5 minutes of this video. All in all, I think that Tulum has been doing a mediocre job with COVID precautions. I definitely saw more people without a mask than with one; however, keep in mind that you get to choose where you go. If you want to be away from people, then spend most of your time on the beach. Most restaurants are also outdoors, which makes it a better environment for COVID not to spread. Tables at restaurants don't seem to be spaced apart enough, but again, most restaurants are outdoors and you won't be exactly neck to neck with other guests. Just make sure you wear your mask when you're out and social distance when you're walking on the roads with multiple people. 📱instagram.com/thewustew 🏠 Boutique hotel we stayed at: NEST Tulum: https://www.nesttulum.com We stayed in the Jungle Room! ☀️ Weather: 70s and 80s, and humid! Bikes were complimentary from our hotel. 🚴The bike tour that we did to see the cenotes was: https://www.mexicokantours.com/cenote... 🎵 Music in this video: "Riviera" by Smith The Mister "Chill Night" by Amine Maxwell and MICHAL "Summertime" by Tokyo Music Walker Music provided by Sound&Relax Video link: • Видео 📽️ What I Use to Edit/Film: Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 iPhone 11 iMovie
