This way you prevent the yacht from moving forward. If you than secure the middle line going forward, this will prevent the yacht from moving backward. After this you have time to secure the lines front and aft to completele secure the yacht along the jetty. Unmooring is done in oposite order. First remove front and aft line. Depening on current or wind you need to decide wich one is best. Then remove front spring and the last one is the aft spring. This way you can exit the box in a safe manor. With stronger winds that push your yacht against the jetty, you need to use a different manor to safely clear the jetty.
