Greengrass Isle, or… whatever dimension Haunter dragged me into. I don’t usually remember my dreams. But this one? This one hit me like a Slowbro high-fiving a traffic light. It started with the camp going dead silent. Not “peaceful” silent— I mean the kind of quiet where even the wind is like, “Nope. I’m clocking out.” I’m holding my lantern, the snow is falling, my breath looks like smoke signals, and suddenly this big shadow behind me starts shapeshifting like it got bored with its own face. Haunter. But not the normal kind. This one was… tall. Flowing. Stretching into shapes I swear aren’t even legal in most regions. Like every time I blinked it decided to cosplay as something else. It didn’t speak. It didn’t need to. It just drifted around me, tugging on my jacket like a kid trying to show me a bunch of overdue homework: My mistakes. My wins. My nonsense. My triumphs. My Diggsprout lies. Every campfire I’ve burned too high. Every berry I miscounted. Every moment I pretended I wasn’t in way over my head. Every Pokémon I helped. Every one I annoyed. Every Snorlax I accidentally overfed to the point of medical concern. The world kept warping— snow turning to fog, fog turning to purple mist, and every time I stepped forward I’d fall into another memory like Haunter was flipping through my life like a picture book. At one point it showed me standing on Cyan Beach, holding that dumb sign about “needing time for my kids.” At another it showed me bragging about a tomato gatherer who was very much not a tomato gatherer. Then there were the good ones— Eevee Day, Slowpoke mugs, the tent at Taupe Hollow, and all the nights I cooked until sunrise, trying to get this camp thing right. Then—this part was messed up— Haunter reached over my shoulders again, but softer this time, like it wanted to make a point without jump-scaring me into early retirement. The snow got quiet. The world slowed down. And Haunter leaned in just enough for me to hear one thing: “Shhh.” Not a warning. Not a threat. More like: “Calm down, Quallah. Breathe. Look at what you’ve done. Look at what you’re doing. You’re not failing. You’re figuring it out.” Then—BOOM— I wake up back in my tent, lantern still warm, gloves still on, Haunter nowhere to be seen… …but my shadow looked just a little bit purple. #pokémonsleep #quallah #greengrassisle #haunter #avacado #ditto #pokemon
