Gov’t to establish KDF and Police colleges in Kerio Valley

Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen says the government has initiated a process of constructing the National Police and Kenya Defence Forces colleges in Kerio Valley to revamp security in the area Speaking on Friday at Embobut in Elgeyo Marakwet, during the celebrations of Boxing Day with thousands of locals, Murkomen appreciated the community around Kerio Valley for accepting to work closely with the government to tame insecurity challenges. He also called on residents to join hands in protecting Embobut forest as one of the water catchment areas in the country.
