Indium Phosphide (InP) Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) enable the monolithic integration of a diversity of building blocks, including semiconductor optical amplifiers, lasers, modulators, detectors, as well as passive components. In this webinar, InP integrated photonics will be introduced from the viewpoint of the JePPIX ecosystem. The technology offer will be explained, going from basic building blocks to customized building blocks, as well as the possibility to design complex circuits. The presentation will focus on the use of InP PICs for sensing, including light detection and ranging (LiDAR), gas sensing, and more. We will also introduce the JePPIX platform, which brings together the European InP and Triplex PIC supply chain as a coherent force to advance and promote PIC technology. JePPIX promotes and facilitates an open-access, horizontal and generic foundry model that keeps pace with the market, bringing in new users, enabling specialization and facilitating the supply chain agility needed for new sectors.
