After servicing (not quite finished) this 1981 radio, we decided to do the 'on the air' test now rather than hold the job up for a few days. There is a dry joint in the transmitter still needing to be tracked down & rectified at this point. Recorded 22nd March 2025 Full power was 4W on this radio, low power was 400mW. Receive was around 0.45uV for 12dB SINAD. Richard, G0OJF Richard, 2E0FKC (Mr Chippie) As usual, Mr Chippie drove along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route. He stopped at the 5-mile point to conduct a static test. Power was checked at 4W. On low power it was 400mW. The radio was used on a standard replacement mike. Our continued thanks to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we use in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
