Guerrilla Rain in Mountain Village, Walking Riverside Fields and Hillside Farms | Kamikawa, Japan 4K

This little farming village along the Ichi River is one I've passed many times but had yet to explore. Initially the bridge caught my eye, so I stopped to walk across it and noticed there were a few traditional houses and flooded rice fields with freshly planted rice seedlings. I also noticed there were more houses on the hillside on the opposite side of the river, so I thought I'd spend an hour or so walking through. I walked across the bridge to the east side of the river by the train tracks, and almost immediately a short little train passed by. A good sign for the walk ahead I thought. From there I walked along the rice fields with flowing water in the irrigation canals, reflections of the mountains on the still water, and traditional houses. As I walked up the hill to check out a waterfall it started to rain, I'd left my umbrella in the car so I ran back to grab it. After grabbing the umbrella I walked up and down the hill on the western side of the village with a a bit of rain, which was nice, and some strong wind gusts. Up on the hill I was just about to turn around and head down when suddenly a giant bright rainbow appeared. I felt this was a really nice walk with a lot of nice elements, river, train, rice field reflections, rain, streams, waterfalls, traditional houses, mountain scenery, and then a rainbow to finish it off.
