Why Kleszczow is the richest in Poland? Kleszczów, or Kuwait in Polish, is located near Belhatov. 30 years ago, it was a village with wooden houses. The richest district in Poland is located in the Lodz Voivodeship. This is the gmina Kleszczów, where the per capita income is 44 thousand zlotys (9800 euros). While the whole of Poland has an average of 4,800 zlotys (1,070 euros). Social media: Insta https://www.instagram.com/elena_holia... Facebook https://m.facebook.com/pages/category... And now residents have a symbolic payment for water, huge discounts on electricity, almost free summer camps in Croatia, subsidies for renewable energy sources and ornamental trees, 4,000 zlotys of maternity leave, surcharge to cultural events, asphalt roads and lighting even on the smallest streets. You can list them for a long time. Kleszczow owes its wealth to taxes from the mine and power plant located in the area. For many years, Kleszczow has been paying attention to renewable energy sources. The village authorities give subsidies up to 70% of the cost of solar panels. The city center is no different from other Polish villages. But almost everywhere solar panels are installed. Main Kleszczow's features - beautiful sidewalks, bike paths through fields and manicured yards. So, in 1970, a coal quarry started working here, and then a power plant. People didn't get rich. Everything changed in the 90s, when the law changed and large enterprises were required to pay taxes to the budget of the commune in which they are located. It was then that the obscenely rich Polish Kuwait appeared. They even built their own water Park, which is used by local residents almost free of charge. In Solpark there are swimming pools, Jacuzzi, Spa, sports grounds, gym, Billiards, bowling. The largest open-pit coal mine in Europe. Careers in Kleszczow. Of course, living here is more comfortable and cheaper than anywhere else in Poland. But nowhere else is there such a big hole in the ground as a coal pit. This pit is 12 km long, 3 km wide and 200 m deep. The landscape is truly Martian. Power plant near Belhatov is the world's largest coal-fired power plant that generates electricity from brown coal, and the largest power plant in the European Union that emits carbon dioxide. It produces about 20% of Poland's electricity and is the Foundation of energy security. How much does the concern's CO2 emissions cost? In the first half of 2020, it amounted to more than 3 billion zlotys! Therefore, a full transition to green energy by 2050 has already been announced. In January, the world-famous Swedish eco-activist Greta Thunberg came here. Kamenskaya mountain is an artificial hill with a height of 386 m above sea level, created from the waste of the coal mine near Belhatov. Kamensky sports and recreation center is located here. It is equipped with an artificially snow-covered and lighted ski slope. In summer, the lift allows you to climb the mountain by Bicycle. But it feels so good now. The richness of the area is about to end, and that moment is fast approaching. When the coal runs out, the tax revenues to the budget will also run out. This is why new investors are now being attracted here and creating favorable working conditions for them. And the future of Europe's largest power plant is unknown. One of the options is to convert a thermal power plant into a nuclear power plant. In 50 years, in 2062, it is planned to finish work on creating an artificial lake on the site of a former spent quarry. It will be the largest and deepest in Poland (90 m deep). There will also be complexes with water sports and entertainment. How do you like the richest district in Poland? What impressions did you leave? Share your opinion in the comments.
