Join me in this one as I head out for a solo wildcamp at what I believe to be the Lake District's unknown reservoir, Hayeswater. Most of the snow has gone, and the skies are moody, with fog lingering. I park up at the village of Hartsop, where the carpark is free. And walk up the valley, the path is well visible, and a little steep in places. It's not long before I'm at my destination. Once there I discuss emails between Henry Shires from Tarptent and myself following my Scarp 1 filling up with snow on Great Mell fell two weeks previously. Cat from Wildcat adventures had the same issue on the same night, here's a link to her video for you to check out • Peak District SOLO CAMP in the SNOW -... Henry is adamant that due to the material the Scarp is made from it cannot go to the ground as it would rub, whereas I believe it needs to go to the ground, and a simple hem of something more robust would sort the rubbing issue, what do you think? Let me know in the comments! I hope you all enjoy, atb Paul 🙏🏕🏕🏕😁 #camping #tent #mountains #lake #cold
