This also includes similiar models 39me314, 46me313v, 50me314v, etc. The most common problem is that the TV stops working and you can hear a high pitched squeal coming from the tv as long as its plugged in. The first thing to do is check the big rectifier diode's on the Secondary side of the power supply. If one or more read short, then before pulling the diodes out of the circuit to re-check them just disconnect the flat ribbon cable going from the PS to the mainboard. Re-check the diodes again. If they read good with the ribbon cable disconnected, then you know that the problem is on the Mainboard. Thats usually the case history on this particular model's television repair.
