Westminster Business School held the inaugural edition of the Master's Talk Series which seeks to cover a range of contemporary themes in the Social Enterprise and Social Entrepreneurship sector: “The Case for Social Enterprise in a COVID-19 World”. It was broadcast as a live webinar event on Thurs 4 March to a global audience. Whether social or for-profit, local or multinational enterprises are pivoting their models towards a more socially responsible approach, aligned to meeting societal and environmental challenges and contributing to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The session explored the role that social enterprises can play in a (post-)COVID world. The panel discussed the challenges and opportunities faced by social entrepreneurs in a developed country (the UK) and a developing country (Rwanda). Moderator and chair, Darrell Kofkin, a senior lecturer at Westminster Business School, assembled a multinational panel of speakers to provide a global and intercultural perspective: • The Global Investor and Mentor- Anurag Saxena • The Policymaker and Consultant – Professor Gillian Youngs • The Social Entrepreneur in a Developing Economy – Regis Umugiraneza • Kelly Davies – CO Founder, The Goodwash Company Our Social Enterprise MSc starts in September 2022 and is now open for applications.
