Westminster Business School hosted the second edition in the Master's Talk Series which seeks to cover a range of contemporary themes in the Social Enterprise and Social Entrepreneurship sector. The theme for the seminar was "Ethnicity and Social Entrepreneurship". Amid the backdrop of increasing BAME representation within UK social enterprise, this event shone a light on the experiences of two black and female social entrepreneurs: Bayo Adelaja, CEO of Do It Now Now, and Izzy Obeng, Managing Director of Foundervine. Senior Lecturer and Founder of the Social Enterprise, BAMEWA, Dr. Yaz Osho moderated the panel debate. The event highlighted the intersection between gender and ethnicity in relation to social enterprise development; uncovered pressing issues relating to BAME representation and support within the social enterprise space and amplified the voices of black and female social entrepreneurs. The online debate was broadcast as a live webinar event to a global audience on Mon 26 April. Our Social Enterprise MSc starts in September 2022 and is now open for applications. If you would like to be part of a new generation of social enterprise experts creating positive social change, this course could be for you. https://www.westminster.ac.uk/social-...
