NOT GOING AWAY - TORIES AND LABOUR OFFER NO COMMITMENT TO WASPI WOMEN Once again I led for the Scottish National Party (SNP) on the issue of WASPI - Women Against State Pension Inequality Campaign. The generation of women impacted have campaigned against this injustice with dignity and determination. I paid tribute to the women affected, particularly Ayrshire WASPI Group and Cunninghame WASPI. I and my SNP colleagues will continue to stand up for pension justice. Disappointingly in this debate, the UK Government Minister refused to commit to, at the very least, implementing the recommendations of the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman when it makes its adjudication, which is hoped and expected to be soon. Shockingly, the Shadow Labour Party Minister was unable to commit to an incoming Labour Government's acceptance of the Ombudsman’s rulings either. The battle for justice must continue.
