The best Mario game in a while? I think so. This Playthrough will show the game 100%. Every Green Star, Gold Flagpole, and Stamp will be shown. I will also complete every level as each character. However, this is how I have them set up for the normal run: Toad for Worlds 1 and 5, Peach for Worlds 2 and 6, Luigi for Worlds 3 and 7, and Mario for Worlds 4 and 8. Rosalina will be used in the extra stages. In this part, we complete all of World 1. These are the stages shown in this part: World 1-1: Super Bell Hill: This simplistic stage will get you used to how the game plays. It also introduces the Super Bell, which gives you the Cat Suit. The Mega Mushroom also appears here. Green Star #1: Take the lower path and use the Clear Pipe to reach this Star. Green Star #2: Run into the lone rabbit in the later section of the stage for this Star. Green Star #3: Run into the huge rabbit, get the Mega Mushroom, and make your way to the grey Brick Blocks on the ground. Ground Pound them and run into the remaining Blocks for this Star. Stamp: Enter the pipe and use the Clear Pipes to reach this one. World 1-2: Koopa Troopa Cave: Like usual, the second stage takes place underground. Koopa Shells can be used for extra lives here. Green Star #1: Jump into this one while crossing the moving platforms. Green Star #2: Enter the Mystery Box, then kill the Koopa Troopas for the Star to appear. Green Star #3: This one is in a Goomba Stack. Either throw a shell at it, or stomp on the Goombas and grab it. Stamp: Enter the Clear Pipe near the end of the stage to find a hidden area with Coins and the Stamp. Secret Exit: Near the end of the stage, you'll see a shining light from the ceiling. Use the Cat Suit to climb up and find a red pipe, which leads to World 2. World 1-A: Chargin' Chuck Blockade: This simple stage has you fighting two Chargin' Chucks. Green Star: Kill the Chargin' Chucks for the Star. World 1-3: Mount Beanpole: This stage has you using POW Blocks to find hidden goodies. Green Star #1: With the Cat Suit, climb up the tree to the left of the entrance for the Star. Green Star #2: Wait for the POW Block to move under the other set of Blocks and hit it to uncover an area where you must grab all the Blue Coins for the Star to appear. Green Star #3: Whack the dial with a paw on it to extend a stone pole. Climb it, jump into the cloud, then dash through all the enemies with the Suepr Star to reach the Green Star. Stamp: Wall Jump to get it. World 1-4: Plessie's Plunging Falls: Meet Plessie, this game's "ride and avoid dying" gimmick. Despite that, this level is really fun. Green Star #1: Jump as soon as you reach the end of the ramp to grab this one. Green Star #2: Ride into the different-colored waterfall to get this one. Green Star #3: Jump at the very tip of the ramp to grab this one. Stamp: You'll have to enter the level again. Take the path to the right, and slowly (hold Down) turn and grab the Stamp. World 1-5: Switch Scramble Circus: This flashy stage contains a lot of switches you need to press to progress through the level. Green Star #1: Instead of warping with the box, Wall Jump up to the Star. Green Star #2: Enter the Mystery Box and destroy the boxes on the left for the Star. Green Star #3: While avoiding the Magikoopa, ride the moving switches to the Star. Stamp: Wall Jump up to this Stamp when you're near the Flagpole. World 1-Captain Toad: Captain Toad Goes Forth: Remember the Toad Brigade Captain from the Galaxy games? Well, he's doing something useful this time. In these stages, you must grab all of the Green Stars without jumping or running into enemies. Green Stars #1-5: Figure them out on your own, silly. World 1-Castle: Bowser's Highway Showdown: This stage features explosive soccer balls, yaaay. And of course, Bowser fights you here, in his fancy new car. The fight's painfully easy if you have the Cat Suit, but it's long and boring otherwise. Green Star #1: Grab the Green Star Ring, then collect all of the Green Coins for the Star to appear. Green Star #2: Whack the dial with the Cat Suit to raise the platforms, then climb up them to the Star. Green Star #3: Attack the Goomba Stack guarding this Star. Stamp: Knock an explosive soccer ball into the grey Blocks, revealing the Stamp.
