Time for another quick weekend away, so Shanghai, China here I come. What I did not realise when I booked this flight a few months ago, is that the specific weekend is in the middle of School Holidays, oh, and the F1 Grand Prix is being held in Shanghai the same weekend. First stop was the Qantas First Lounge for some Breakfast, as a creature of habit, I went for the usual Sweet Corn Fritters and Bacon, followed by Eggs Benedict and Smoked Salmon. What I haven't had before was the Iced Coffee... Highly recommended. Then time for boarding QF129 to Shanghai at Gate 37, my seat on this A330-300 flight was 60A. The flight was smooth, and the service impeccable. The First Meal was Kung Pao Chicken and Fried Rice, Mid-Flight several snacks and drinks were offered and the Pre-Arrival Meal was Lemon Herb Pearl Cous Cous with Roasted Carrots. All food served was excellent, and the other options such as Beef Brisket, and also a Chinese Noodle dish looked great as well. Just before our arrival into Shanghai, the Customer Service Supervisor (CSS) advised me that I was able to go and meet the Tech Crew (Captain, FO etc) in the Cockpit after landing, which is always a treat. After disembarking the arrivals process was quite straight forward, although it did take close to 45 minutes to clear immigration. Thankfully I only had Carry-On baggage so aside from having a walk around it was a quick exit from that point. Using my Alipay app, I booked a DiDi (Taxi/Uber) and made my way to the hotel.
