Who Builds a Plymouth Duster from the Ground up with custom hand made body panels? That's the question I first asked when I walked into BBT Fabrications in Mahomet Illinois a couple years ago when they started working on Jordan Costello's Duster. Well Jordan wanted a really cool driver Mopar that wasn't just another Cuda, Challenger, or a Cuda ( maybe Jordan just didn't like Dodge cars that started with a C haha) When Troy and the crew started tearing down nice "appearing" Driver Dodge Product when they realized the metal underneath was in pretty sad shape' and there was no way the stock chassis parts/suspension would handle the power from a Modern Dodge Hellcat Motor backed by a Bowler Six Speed Transmission. While they where fixing metal and body panels The moved in the bumpers, and added some cool Mirrors and Door Handles from in House Automotive Accessory Company Intekotto. Underhood of Course is far from Stock with troy and the guys at BBT Fab doing what they do best.....making cool metal panels for a cool clean look to make that 700hp Hellcat look even cooler. IIf you'd like to see some build articles on the Duster in full bare metal check out past issues of Modern Rodding Magazine Online as well The interior features custom fabbed C6 corvette seats wrapped in a cool blue Leather, and a very cool minimalistic Trunk Interior featuring cool netting and some truck style tie downs so you don't have to worry about your stuff sliding around on some slick leather. When I first photographed the car right before it debuted at the SEMA show last year it had a set of HRE race style wheels, and when I stopped to photograph it between Goodguys Columbus and Desmoines they had just added a custom set of Forgeline Steelie looking wheels with Poverty Caps, and I think it really made this Plymouth stand out, and not just pigeon hole it into a style or time(even though most mopar guys will scream"Them Wheels too Big" Speaking of me photographing this awesome Duster I left Desmoines Goodguys on Sunday, and rolled into BBT's Driveway(Like I do every time I cut across Illinois haha) at Sunset during a pouring Rain(not my fault) Woke up to a call for rain all day so started the day photographing all the details inside Troys Assembly Shop with fingers crossed the weather will pass us over. Well if you watch the video we where definitely blessed with a amazing sunset, and started with Rollers(Photos of a vehicle rolling down the road from car to car) Normally we just do rolling photos out of the back of Troys Driver Square Body C10, but Troy was prepping it for a road trip to Boston with the Crew from Greening Auto Company and the Roadster Shop so we did them out of the back of a 1967 C10 they where currently building that was in the middle of test driving for drivability, and what you didn't see was Troy telling me "I the nk this tailgate latches properly" haha So we did our rollers, and decided instead of a old barn or building in town like we are usually stuck photographing in front of we decided to photograph it out by the fields where we did the rolling Photos. Im very happy with how the Photos turned out just out in the middle of the Illinois Landscape. I guess the only issue I had was taking my tumble in the back of the truck when we stopped abruptly on new brakes and did a somersault in the bed. Luckily Ive been in this situation before, and did a perfect Tuck and Roll protecting my Fuji Film GFX 100ii from any Damage. Also thanks to @ThinkTankPhoto for making amazing bags that take a beating(even in the back of a 1967 C10 haha) I know I get asked for EXIF data all the time most of my rollers are shot around 1/60th and a Fstop of F8 or F13 deopending on the length of the car(these where shot at F8) Keep in mind that the focus fall off on the @FujifilmUSACameras GFX is a little more than most full frame camera so I recommend starting with a F8 and you should be Golden. Of course with a Pristine super slick white paint job it wasn't rocket science to light it plus we got a nice extended sunset with the way the clouds rolled in. So I think the @broncolorworld Siros 800 L"s were about half power to mix the natural light with the light from the strobes. Really happy with how this photoshoot turned out, and Im sure you are here to see a cool killer Dodge Powered Mopar Masterpiece, and not me taking Photos....but hey....This is what I do. Thanks to troy and the guys for taking the time out of their busy day prepping for Goodguys Columbus where they actually made top 5 Street Machine of the Year among a ridiculous field of awesome Muscle Cars Thanks for Watching #plymouth #musclecar #streetmachine #customcar #oldcars #carbuilds #mopar #duster #plymouthduster #protouring #americanmuscle #abody #mopar #carphotography #cars#fujifilm #broncolor #carvideo #carculture 00:00 opening 00:23 Intro 01:56 Photographing Details 05:20 Rolling Photos 09:06 Still Photos
