Have you been told that you should do cool down exercises after activity to: decrease your level of soreness, decrease your risk of injury or increase your performance levels… Sorry, none of that is true. 🤨Does that mean you should not be doing an active and/or dynamic cool down? 💥Not at all. The reason why you SHOULD be doing these types of activities after practice, competition and or training sessions is because it will help maintain your range of motion. 👉🏼The reason why people lose range of motion is because they don’t train through a full range of motion. Then they become “tight” and end up doing things that are detrimental, like stretching, foam rolling and Thera Gun. 💯if you want to maintain AND increase range of motion (which will decrease injury and increase performance) then you should be doing active and dynamic cool down after activity. #Stretching #Exercise #foamroller #Injury #dpt #massagetherapy #InjuryPrevention #Pain #StrengthAndConditioning #PersonalTrainer #RangeOfMotion #Flexibility #Mobility #demo #PhysicalTherapy #DPTStudent #MoStrebility #one80System #theone80system #one80 #casestudy #runninginjury #cycling
