Heel pain can be a drag, especially for young athletes who just want to have fun. In this episode of Move Better by Speed Training, we look into what exactly Sever’s disease is the best exercises to help relieve the pain and minimize the potential of pain in the future. WHO ARE WE? Speed Training Lab + High Performance Centre (TM) is a division of Soccer Fitness Inc., where we spent over 15 years of scientific research and practical application into optimizing physical training to make athletes run faster, move better, and train smarter. After having had huge success with thousands of soccer players, and hundreds of other athletes from a wide variety of sports, we opened a new location, Speed Training Lab + High Performance Centre. With new diagnostic and testing equipment, and new state-of-the-art training technology, we have been meeting the growing demands of amature and professional athletes who want to improve their performance and play better. MOVE BETTER is a new informative video series that is designed to help everyone staying at home identify, address, correct and optimize their movement -- whether for athletic performance, or just simply for a better quality of life. MOVE BETTER is an evidence-based guide to injury prevention and rehabilitation*, with a specific focus on biomechanics of exercise and human movement. Each episode will help you better understand the pains and discomfort that you may be going through, and take you through proven, targeted exercise programming that will not only help you return to a normal lifestyle and activity level, but also to optimize your fitness and recovery, both short and long-term. Each week, we’ll focus on a specific area of the body which we’ll break down anatomically, before exploring the most common injuries affecting the area. Finally, we’ll review the best evidence-based rehabilitative exercises that have been proven to help and are backed by the latest scientific research. We will start from the bottom of the body and work our way upwards each week.
