This is the set-closer from Mazzy Star's final show before their hiatus on June 8, 2000 at the Union Chapel in Islington, UK. I uploaded "Look On Down From the Bridge" from the same show years before on this channel. I got this through sheer dumb luck over a decade ago. It's hard to explain how I felt when I found out they released the studio version this week--probably a different reaction than anyone else in the world other than the show taper (and those in the audience who remembered the song). I will just say, the first time I heard this song, even through a live clip, it became my favorite Mazzy Star song of all time instantly and I've had it on repeat for years. I'm curious if others feel the same way hearing the studio version. I'll get around to sharing the full show soon. Note the lack of a second verse, no drums, no guitar, and slightly different lyrics in the first verse.
