Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that as of 13th May 2020 residents of England would be able to take unlimited amounts of outdoor exercise, as well as to enjoy the parks for relaxation purposes. Also certain industries such as construction have been encouraged to return to work. The aim is to present an accurate portrayal of the shift in dynamic as the fear factor hopefully subsides over the coming weeks before the next phase, which would be to open schools and certain shops on the 1st June at the earliest. With that in mind I will be meticulous in logging the exact date and approximate time for proper context. Episode 5 takes us through one of London's hidden gems: Barnes. Located in the southwest of the capital, it arguably resembles something more akin to a quintessential countryside village with a tight community feel. Nevertheless, it is a mere six miles away from Central London. The walk starts by Barnes Pond, and circumnavigates around it before ending up on Barnes High Street at the 4:52 mark. At 5:22 we check out the local real estate. For clarity, the Great Gatsby-esque property we see briefly is renting out for £15,000 per month. I wonder what the deposit is...
