This video was filmed by Dong Rmah in Asheboro, North Carolina during Montagnard Memorial Day 2025 (also known as Dega Day). The performance features H’Yit Siu singing a Jarai song titled Bơngia Glai Čư̆ (Mountain Flowers), composed by Hip Ksor. The Montagnard/Dega dancers in the video are from Greensboro, NC, representing the Traditional Arts Program (TAPs) developed by the Montagnard American Organization (MAO), a branch of the Montagnard Association of North Carolina (MANC). The music for Bơngia Glai Čư̆ (Mountain Flowers) is performed by talented Montagnard musicians from Charlotte, NC, along with Lap Siu, who was invited by the Montagnard community to sing and play with the band for this event. The second half of the dance performance is accompanied by the sound of Jarai traditional gongs, known as čing, highlighting the cultural and spiritual heritage of the Jarai people. 💛 If you enjoyed this video and found the content on this channel educational or meaningful, please consider supporting our work.
