Not shown in this video but something to recommend it taking the block to a machine shop to have the valves ground. In this case the valves were not ground. They were only lapped. This is a B43G 18 hp Onan that was rebuilt in October 2013. It was pulled from a 1985 John Deere 318. By no means am I a mechanic, this was only the 3rd rebuild I had ever done when completed. You might do things differently, this is how I rebuilt this engine and hopefully helps others. (Total cost of the rebuild was ~$400 using all OEM Onan parts vs $1,500 for a repower). Repowers and rebuilds should be on a case by case basis. This took us three weekends to complete. This same set of principles could be used for any of the Onan engines installed in the John Deere 316, 318 and 420 garden tractors. These would included the B43E, B43G, B48G, P218G, and P220G
