In this video, we visit our friends at Forged Timber to mill several slabs of Paperstone on their new ShopSabre CNC router! This footage is from the first of a series of test that we're conducting to determine Paperstone's exact machining characteristics, and whether or not their new "Designer Series" panels are suitable for an exciting new sustainable furniture system that we are currently developing for a disruptive yoga lifestyle brand! Paperstone is made from 100-percent recycled paper and petroleum-free phenolic resin? This sample panel is called "Azure" and it consist of alternating 90-percent recycled melamine and 100% FSC® Certified post-consumer recycled paper. The layers are bonded together with high heat, pressure, and non-petroleum based phenolic resins.
