Tug Hill Trophy Outdoors Season’s over, but I’m already thinking about 2026. Tonight I’m sharing 4 small, often-overlooked items I always keep in my truck or pack during hunting season. They’re cheap, lightweight, and have saved my hunts (or my sanity) more times than I can count. No fancy gear—just smart additions for cold, wet, unpredictable Upstate NY woods. Pack of wipes or makeup remover wipes $3–$10. Blood, mud, scent transfer, quick clean-up after dressing—wipes handle it when there’s no water. I keep a small pack in the door pocket. Wind checker / puffer $5–$15. Powder or smoke bottle shows exact wind direction and drift at your spot. Licking a finger doesn’t cut it—saved me from getting busted more than once. Headlamp+ spare flashlight Headlamp $10–$20, spare $10-$20. Hands-free light for recovery or walking out (red mode preserves night vision). Spare in the truck—batteries die, headlamps fail, or you lose one. Zip ties $3–$5 for a pack. Stand loose, blind torn, pack strap broken—zip ties fix it fast. I keep a handful in the console and a few in my pack. Cheap, multi-use backup. These little things add up—small cost, big impact. What’s one overlooked item YOU always carry? Drop it in the comments—I read every one. 👉 SUBSCRIBE for weekly vlogs – off-season updates, shed hunting, and 2026 prep coming soon! 👉 TikTok & Facebook: @TugHillTrophyOutdoors #TugHillHunting #OverlookedHuntingGear #HuntingTips #OffSeasonPrep #UpstateNY #DeerHunting #HuntingEssentials #TugHillTrophyOutdoors
