Five-spice powder is a spice mixture made with more than five kinds of spices. This is like the most useful Chinese seasoning. It is really easy to make at home. INGREDIENTS 1 cinnamon stick 3 star anise 2 tsp of Sichuan peppercorn (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/gVHL4q) 1/2 tsp of fennel seeds (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/FJA7A2) 1/2 tsp of white pepper (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/iB6298) 1/2 tsp of black pepper (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/RnXJ4) Half of a black cardamon (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/zICH) 4 pieces of cloves (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/Dra6qv7) 1 piece of aged tangerine peel (1.5*1.5 inch) (Product Link - https://curatedkitchenware.com/produc...) 1 tsp of ginger powder (Amazon Link - https://geni.us/TBRG) INSTRUCTIONS Toast all the spices in a wok or a cast-iron skillet over low heat for a few minutes to evaporate the moisture and activate the aroma. If you have a couple of spices that are already a powder form, reserve, and mix at the end. Let the spices cool before putting them into a spice grinder. Blend the spices as fine as possible. Mix with the reserved spice powder. Store the five-spice powder in a sealable container. Notes Note: Don’t make too much at one time because the aroma does get weaker if you let it sit for too long. I normally just make an oz, which will last me 2-3 months. Videography / Editing by Austin Schargorodski - https://austinschargorodski.com/
