For many machine vision applications, you need to align the images so that objects that are located within these images always have the same orientation. With MVTec MERLIC, you can do this quickly with two tools: either “Determine Alignment with Matching”, or “Determine Alignment with Straight Border”. Next, you can align the images with the tool “Align Image”, or you can simply have the subsequent tools use the alignment data of the aforementioned alignment tools.
