I am so excited to share this song with you guys! "Still breathin'" came to me in a time of intense confusion concerning the lost of my voice. I set out to sing my music as a career due to words I had confidence I received from the Lord. After confirmation and confirmation I continued to make steps of obedience following the words. 3 days after my arrival to, Columbus, Ohio the place I was to begin pursuit of the music career, I mysteriously my voice. I had about 20% use of my range but it was deep, weak and scratchy. After about a week of no improvement, I became sad and frustrated from lack of understanding. Broken hearted because I felt I trusted God and He led me to a place of desolation. Sound familiar? (Job, Joseph, David, the disciples to the sea, Christ.. etc) I could go really deep BUT I learned so much and a series of songs were birthed from the time of "trial" I experienced and this was one of my favorites. I saw that no matter how many low's I have experienced, God is keeping me alive. Though the enemy and may attack my body, my family, my mind, my purpose, my focus and my strength.. God is greater and He has my life guarded in His hands. Tried in a furnace.. but I, we will come our as pure gold. 4 years later I am doing music, going toward full time, my voice is back and better, and I have a better understanding of life in Him. I pray you can apply this truth to whatever you may be facing and ultimately, realize you are STILL breathin'.
