I tried this one some years ago, and I liked the premise, the character and how she flew around with her rocket boots, but you only get one life, there's a password, though I didn't try that out to see how that worked. Enemies are weird, strange robots, stars, ghosts, giant lips with fangs and lightning bolts, and some small one-screen overhead battles for special items. The cyborg female character sorta is a bit like Miria from The Guardian Legend, though the Space Hunter character, Altiana, as well as her game isn't as good as that one. You start out using these triangular bombs that I still can't figure out what detonates them, sometimes detonates when I move away, other times when enemies line up with the horizontally but not all the time. Weird game anyway, but if only it were more forgiving it could be fun. So I try the game out again today, and get game over after game over, being there's only one life, and I'm not messing with the password unless I actually feel I have progressed enough to make that worth it. I can read minor bits of Japanese, so know what some of the stuff says, but mostly the items are self explanatory, get something, check if it is in the submenu, select it if you can and test it out, like that wave beam, though still don't know why it runs out after a while since I don't know what "power" is used for yet. I got a couple shields which are two different crystal ball things, a red crystal shield, and magical mirror shield, though how those work, what they shield against I dunno. I fought a boss, defeated him, and they told me to leave the planet before my time ran out but my health was also down to one hit point, so I needed to heal, was hoping one of the enemies would give me a star that would replenish my health all the way but time ran out, game over yet again. Either way I wouldn't have made it. I didn't expect the boss fight to begin with, nor the sudden timer. Too easy to get game over in this game, thus not very player friendly for something that requires a bit of exploration, even if the action is arcade like. One thing to note about this character, her in-game sprite from the side view, she looks like she comes straight out of The Simpsons, something I find amusing, especially give how her actual artwork looks... they are nothing alike.
