Interested in this guitar? IT'S FOR SALE! Call LAWMAN MIKE (312) 848-1864 Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting... A really cool, well played Pro Owner Martin D-1 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar. This is one of the lesser priced Martins from back in the 1990's and it's awesome. It plays and sounds awesome This guitar was played...a lot. A Pro Players guitar and it shows it was worked hard. Back of the neck has the finish worn off, finger divots in the top few frets...they don't affect play at all... heavy summer perspiration areas of the finish blushing and a pretty good scratch on the back..see pic 15.. Otherwise, no cracks, no lifting of the bridge, all original and the satin finish is starting to get shiny in some areas that I really like. Thats what I like about the satin finishes. After getting wear, they get shiny to give the guitars a really cool relic'y look. I like it a lot! Here's some info we found on Reverb regarding these cool Martin guitars... Overview As a mid-range Martin, the Martin D-1R sports a pretty sweet price tag for how well the 1 Series has generally been beloved, particularly by newer players. Indicated by the R in the instrument's name, the D-1R is has laminated Indian rosewood for its back and sides, rather than the typical mahogany on the standard D-1. And solid sitka spruce tops off the Martin D-1R acoustic, offering that classic tonal balance you find with this tonewood. We cleaned it up...a lot... adjusted the action some and added a new set of 11 gauge Dr Ducks Phosphorus Bronze Strings. It plays and sounds wonderful. Great low action for no sore fingers on this one... The original Martin case has seen some rough roads but it's still hanging in there. Only one of the three latches are working ...the new owner can have them replaced if desired. The green plush interior is still very nice and it's still a substantial case for your cool Martin guitar. Check the pic Sold as-is no returns as it's vintage and used.
