Escaped up Minnesota’s North Shore for a quick but adventure-packed two-day trip. Took a half day on Friday and hit the road north, starting with a stop at Jay Cooke State Park to stretch the legs and take in the river views. From there it was off to Zenith Basecamp to settle in and grab dinner before an early night. Day two was all about big views and getting a longer hike in. I started the morning gearing up, grabbing coffee and catching sunrise at Palisade Head for sweeping Lake Superior overlooks, then headed to Tettegouche State Park for a challenging and rewarding 7 mile out-and-back to Bean and Bear Lakes. On the way home, I wrapped up the trip with a couple waterfall stops: Amnicon Falls State Park and Big Manitou Falls, the tallest waterfall in Wisconsin. A perfect way to end a short but unforgettable North Shore adventure. If you’re looking for a quick getaway filled with hikes, overlooks, and waterfalls, this trip packs a lot into just a few days. 📍 Locations Featured: Jay Cooke State Park Palisade Head Tettegouche State Park (Bean & Bear Lakes) Amnicon Falls State Park Big Manitou Falls (Pattison State Park) Zenith Basecamp Thanks for watching!
