Join Ivy Odom, Southern Living test kitchen pro, as she hosts a charming Hallmark movie marathon night. Her food spread includes a cast iron skillet pizza, a Christmas Frosé, and a charcuterie board. Pizza is a great movie-watching food, so Ivy makes one in a cast iron skillet. She gives a lesson on how to spread pizza dough, which she learned from her dad who used to work at a pizzeria. The pizza dough from Publix is a game changer. Once the dough is flattened, put it into a heated skillet and cook over medium heat with olive oil and salt. Cook until the dough starts to bubble up, then add the other ingredients. Jarred pizza sauce is just as good as homemade, if you need to save time. Ivy’s pizza includes Italian sausage, pepperoni, red onion, a lot of shredded mozzarella, and pizza sauce. Cook at the oven’s hottest temperature. While the pizza is cooking, prepare the charcuterie board. Ivy shapes hers like a Christmas tree, decorating the tree with olives and pickled okra. Cute! She likes to label her charcuterie boards so they aren’t a mystery to her guests. Once the pizza is done, sprinkle on some crushed red pepper and fresh basil. It’s so good. Ivy loves Rose, but whoever invented the Frosé deserves the highest accolades. Ivy combines Rosé, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, frozen cranberries, and simple syrup to make a great Christmas-themed treat. Enjoy the food with friends while y’all watch Christmas movies. - - - - - - Want to see more Southern Living videos?
