Finding a hiking route to summit Syncline Ridge | Jasper National Park

On this mid-April adventure, we explore the eastern mountain ranges of Jasper National Park in hopes to find a route atop the Syncline Ridge. This ridge is at the very beginning of the Miette Mountain range and is the main southern mountain portion when hiking the Hidden Valley Trail. It's a very common area for mountain climbing and I couldn't find any clear routes online on how to reach the summit. I started this hike by climbing up a low angle rib that attaches to the Syncline Ridge on the west side. We were unable to find a solid route from that angle due to the inclination, rock face & large number of deadwood along the rib. This hiking exploration did give us a great view to closely study the west face of the Syncline Ridge in hopes to return someday to summit.
