Can short workouts be effective? Yes. Just five minutes of exercise at a time can be beneficial to your health in lots of different ways. You can burn up to 20 calories per minute with a high-intensity interval workout. But the real benefit comes after the workout is complete. An intense five-minute workout can help you burn more fat all day = that is 100 calories, over a week that is 1200 calories. It doesn’t sound like enough to make a difference but if you are short on time, five minutes can be enough to help you lose weight, enjoy better sleep patterns and feel good! Even after a workout of only five minutes, fat-burning benefits continue for the rest of the day. This workout specifically focuses the upper body using kettlebells. Check out the other five minute series on my channel as you can piece them together to make a longer workouts if you have more time. You will work up a sweat so make sure you have water to hand and also warm up and cool down before and after as this is not included in the routine.
