What does it actually mean to rest? I've been thinking about this a lot lately—mostly because I'm still terrible at it. After years of bad sleep and running on anxious energy, I'm starting to realize that rest isn't just about passing out at the end of the day. It's a different way of moving through everything. Work. Play. Even sleep itself. In this walk, I'm working through the difference between restful and unrestful—and why you can be exhausted even when you're supposedly relaxing. I talk about how we've been trying to fix our sleep by actually creating a ritual before bed instead of just collapsing. How social anxiety used to control me in group settings, and what it's taken to shift out of that tunnel vision. And why letting go of the need to perform perfectly all the time might be the most restful thing you can do. Bruce Lee called it "dynamic tension"—staying relaxed everywhere you don't need to be tense. That's what I'm after. Not perfection. Just a better rhythm. If you're working through something similar—burnout, pressure, the constant feeling that you're behind—this one's for you.
