Video of Modified Low Dye Taping for foot plantar fascitis, posterior tibial tendon injuries, and other issues related to excessive collapse or elongation of the longitudinal arch. I apologize for the poor camera angle, it was a quick recording. Used rubbing alcohol to clean oils/dirt from foot, Coloplast SkinPrep to protect skin and improve tape adhesion, 1.5 inch athletic tape(online, athletic or drug stores), and paraffin wax (home hardware stores) Preposition the arch by slightly pointing the foot down, while pulling the toes up. May have to experiment with how much tension to put through tape; increased tension = increased control of foot, but also increased likelihood of discomfort from tape, especially at back of heel. Tape should loosen over the first hour of wear, but watch for hotspots that may worsen and cause blistering. Paraffin wax rub increases durability, but swimming and bathing may make tape loosen excessively. As long as skin stays healthy, this can be worn for days, until it loosens up so much it has no effect. This is possible, but difficult to do yourself, better to have someone else do it for you.
