Watch how I create a unique Bell X-1 model with 3D printed parts and put it in a diorama. 🔥You will find more of my models here:    / @scalerdan   ============================ In this video, I take you through the step-by-step process of building a stunning 1/48 scale model of the iconic Bell X-1. Known for its groundbreaking achievements in aviation history, the Bell X-1 was the first aircraft to break the sound barrier, piloted by Chuck Yeager in 1947. In addition to the historical reference, the scenes from the 1983 movie 'The Right Stuff' inspired me to build a small diorama that captures the atmosphere of the early test pilot era. The Eduard Profipack Edition (2023 boxing) comes with PE parts, masks and resin wheels which is a good offer for a fair price. Four different versions can be built including the legendary 'Glamorous Glennis'. Since the original kit is getting a bit old, I focused on additional detailing for cockpit and fuselage. For this purpose, I designed my own 3D printable files with Blender and built a lot of things from scratch. A beautiful figure from Corpus and a self-made base complete the project. Watch as I showcase painting techniques, weathering effects, and tips to achieve a realistic finish that brings this historic aircraft to life in miniature.
