Our monthly webinar series “Innovation Insights” continued Monday, March 2, at 12:00 pm ET. IACMI CCO Jason Gibson moderated discussions with IACMI members featuring their latest news about products, services, technology, and innovations. We heard from: Dr. Leyla Mirmomen Optimuos CEO and Founder MetaXlab: A Digital Platform for Accelerated Composite Material Design and Qualification Optimuos is developing MetaXlab, an end-to-end, AI-driven platform for material design, analysis, and characterization that integrates seamlessly into R&D and manufacturing workflows. It serves as a digital lab for material design and testing, creating digital twins that predict performance, manufacturability, and reliability under mission-relevant conditions, accelerating qualification and deployment of advanced materials. Jeff Hall Carbon Fiber Recycling, LLC Director Client Relations Scaling Sustainability: Advancing Recycled Carbon Fiber Solutions at Carbon Fiber Recycling Carbon Fiber Recycling is undergoing significant scalability and technology upgrades to further expand efficiency in processing recycled carbon fiber and help our customers. This presentation provides an update on these enhancements before diving into product developments, addressing some of Carbon Fiber Recycling’s key solutions in working with recycled carbon fiber. Highlights include our standard agglomerated carbon fiber for infrastructure applications, along with our recently introduced milled fiber product line, and exciting progress on our new pelletized carbon fiber products designed to broaden performance, improve flowability of recycled carbon fiber materials in conventional manufacturing production lines, and increase market opportunities for our customers. Dario Pigliafreddo Cannon S.p.A. Key Account Manager for Composites Co-presenting with Shayne Brody Cannon USA Technical Sales Engineer Cannon’s Composite Processing Solutions for High-volume Applications in the Aerospace Sector Cannon will provide an overview of their patented solutions and turnkey plants for producing parts made using composite materials for diverse sectors. Technologies like the Dynamic Overpacking System for HP-RTM processes and the Triple Vacuum Frame for compression molding help solve some of the ongoing challenges in the world of composite processing. These technologies make up just one part of the entire plant, which Cannon designs, builds, installs, and integrates exactly to the customer’s needs.
