We shall be bringing you all of the racing action which occurred on Sunday 25th January as if it were live! Following a rain-soaked round at Daytona, this time out we are under much sunnier skies in Portugal at the Algarve International Circuit. Also referred to as “Portimão” in reference to the local city, it may have only opened in 2008, but it certainly feels as though it hails from a much older generation of circuits. Entwining elevation changes into most of its 15 corners, all will find completing a smooth lap here highly satisfying. Add into this its wide road surface, and the battles we can expect to unfold at this venue shall be even more gratifying! In the ELITE class, a pair of second place finishes for Henrik Riise Strand and a third followed by a maiden win for Andrea Miatto have seen the pair share the top spot after Daytona. Who out of the two drivers shall take the lead come the end of today? In the PRO class, following an incredibly unpredictable race last week which has served to shake-up the standings, Shawn Conner now leads by 2 points over Mathew Croft. Yet, could we see a further shuffling of the order today with much simpler racing conditions expected? In the INTER class, by following-up his season-opening second with a win at Daytona, Andrei Muntean has taken over the lead by 24 points over Craig Hewlett. Come rain or sunshine Muntean may be emerging as the one to beat, especially if he can secure another win today! Who will fortune favour in the district of Faro? Tune in and find out!
