Tactical Genetic Control Tools for Rats

Björn Oback (Bioeconomy Science Institute), Catherine Collins (University of Otago) and Ocean Mercier (Victoria University of Wellington) will summarise research on developing genetic technologies for mammalian pest control in New Zealand. This technology aims to introduce rats that only produce male offspring, thereby skewing sex ratios and suppressing small populations.
