With the global acceleration of change, heritage concepts and development models have transformed. Eric Zerrudo talks about the concept of heritage-driven development in the context of Philippines by highlighting his heritage mapping efforts all over the country and how communities have utilized their research towards various development strategies. Teachers of Contemporary Philippine Arts from the Regions in Senior High School and Art Appreciation in College can use this lecture as resource material for the teaching concepts and ideas about cultural heritage and also thinking through contemporary issues of heritage and development in the Philippines. Eric Zerrudo delivered this lecture at De La Salle University on March 29, 2019 as part of Project Virkurso: 10 Lectures on Philippine Arts and Culture. The project is led by teachers from DLSU's Department of Literature and funded by CHED-NCCA Salikha Creative Grant.
