STAN'S BEDROOM - NIGHT Stan is on his bed in the foreground, strumming a guitar and writing lyrics. Cartman and Butters walk in from the door on frame right. STAN (singing) Come on people... Come on, people now... CARTMAN Dude, what are you doing? STAN I'm writing a song about the importance of hybrid cars, so maybe people will change their ways. CARTMAN (laughing) That's gay. STAN Well if I have any chance of getting Kyle back I have to get people to stop driving SUVs! CARTMAN Why do you wan Kyle back?! Don't you see how awesome it is without him?! Stan turns around. STAN You know what Cartman, you may be stoked now... But I bet you're gonna find that without Kyle around to rip on... Your life is empty and hollow. Cartman stares back a little shocked then. I'm gonna play a song by a local artist that really made me think about my impact on the Earth. This is Stan Marsh with 'Hey People, You Got To Drive Hybrids Already'. The song starts to play. Good for people driving people now. Get a hybrid be good people now. INT. STAN'S DAD'S SUV - DAY Stan's dad is driving his SUV, hearing this song on the radio. EXT. STAN'S HOUSE - DAY Stan's dad has his back to us, looking at his SUV (in sideview) in the background. Dad Turns to the camera with a single tear in his eye. EXT. HYBRID CAR DEALERSHIP - DAY An establishing of a hybrid dealership, Randy walks towards it from camera. INT. GUY IN TRUCK - DAY The same guy in his SUV from the first scene listens to the song on the radio. INT. JIMBO'S VEHICLE - DAY Jimbo hears the song on the radio and feels bad. He gets out of his vehicle and walks away with his head down. EXT. GAS STATION - DAY Principal Victoria is pumping gas into her SUV when she turns to hear from an outdoor speaker in the foreground. EXT. GAS STATION - DAY Several people are gassing their cars, or heading back to their cars from the pay counter, listening to the song over outdoor speakers. MAN He's right. The people all abandon their cars and head toward camera. EXT. HYBRID CAR DEALERSHIP - DAY The same establishing of the dealership - lots of people flock to it from camera. STAN (song) We have all got to be people now. People driving hybrid people now. People now people now hybrid now. Hybrid people driving people now. Come on people, let's be people now. Hybrid people driving people now. Come on everybody, be people now. EXT. SOUTH PARK AVENUE - DAY Jimbo drives in his hybrid. He passes Butters' mom and dad who are driving their new hybrid. Butters' dad gives jimbo a thumbs up with that stupid little smile. Jimbo gives him an equally gay 'thumbs up' back. Jimbo drives up to Stan's house - where Randy is out front waxing his new normal looking car in the driveway. INSERT - LATER - on the back of Randy's hybrid as he drives it down the street - He has made his own little sign that says HYBRID with flashing lights. Another Hybrid takes over Randy's and the driver gives him a big cheesy thumbs up. Stan's dad gives a thumbs up back. Craig's mom drives up next to Jimbo in a hybrid. CRAIG'S MOM Hey Jimbo you got a hybrid too? JIMBO Yeah, I just... I just want to (closed yes) Try to set an example, you know? CRAIG'S MOM Yeah, I guess it's up to us to (eyes) Show everyone the way. Good for you! JIMBO THAAANKS! Now cut to Stan's dad in his car, stopped at a light talking to Mrs. Garrison in hers. MS. GARRISON Can you believe some people still DON'T drive hybrids?! STAN'S DAD I know! It's like Earth to America! Hello?! THIS IS SIMPLE STUFF HERE, GALLLL! Mr. Mackey is standing, leaning against his hybrid with his arms folded, Talking to a couple people. MR. MACKEY Well, from now on I'm only going to associate with other hybrid car drivers. (eyes closed) Everyone else is just IGNORANT, mkay. Now Stan's dad is driving his car (we have this shot) He thumbs up a guy to his right. STAN'S DAD GOOD FOR YOU! DRIVER THEEEEENKS! Then dad thumbs ups out the other side.
